  • Essential or strictly necessary cookies are (as their name indicates) necessary for the website to function properly or to provide a service requested by you, e.g. by establishing a particular connection. We may set these cookies without your prior consent;

  • Non-essential cookies are cookies that can be set for statistical, social, targeting and commercial purposes. They have nothing to do with the mere technical support of the website. Non-essential cookies can be first party or third party cookies and can only be set and used by us if you have given us your prior consent via the cookie banner.Different types of non-essential cookies can be distinguished:

    • Functional cookies allow certain non-essential functionalities of the website to work properly.

    • Cookies with targeting purposes allow a profile to be built based on your browsing behavior so that the ads shown are tailored to your interests.

    • Cookies with tracking purposes allow tracking of your Internet behavior over time.

Cookies can also be divided according to their lifetime:

  • Fixed duration cookies: These cookies remain on the user's device for the duration specified in the cookie. They are activated each time the user visits the website that set this cookie. Most non-essential cookies are certain duration cookies.

  • Session cookies: These cookies allow us to simplify and link a user's actions during a browser session. A browser session begins when a user opens the browser window and ends when they close the browser window. Session cookies are placed temporarily. 6. Your rights

To give you more control over the processing of your personal data, you have many rights. These rights, among others, are set forth in Articles 15-22 AVG.

You have the following rights:

  • The right to access the personal data we process about you (art. 15 AVG):

You have the right to learn from us at any time whether or not we are processing your personal data. If we are processing them, you have the right to access this personal data and receive additional information about:

  1. processing purposes;

  2. the categories of personal data involved;

  3. the recipients or categories of recipients (especially recipients in third countries);

  4. the retention period or, if that is not possible, the criteria for determining that period;

  5. the existence of your privacy rights;

  6. the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority;

  7. the source of the personal data if we obtain personal data through a third party;

  8. the existence of automated decision-making.

If we cannot give you access to your personal data (for example, because of legal obligations), we will let you know why this is not possible.

You may also obtain a free copy of the personal data processed in an understandable form. Please note that we may charge a reasonable fee to cover our administrative costs for each additional copy you request.

  • Right to data erasure ('right to be forgotten') (art. 17 AVG):

You can ask us to delete your personal data in certain cases. Please also note that your right to oblivion is not absolute. We have the right to continue to retain your personal data when necessary for, among other things, the performance of the contract, compliance with a legal obligation or the establishment and exercise or substantiation of legal claims. We will inform you in more detail in our response to your request.

  • The right of correction and supplementation (art. 16 AVG):

If your personal data is inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, you may ask us to have these inaccuracies or incompleteness corrected.

  • The right to portability of your personal data (art. 20 AVG):

You also have the right, under certain conditions, to have us transfer the personal data you have provided to us for the performance of the contract or for which you have given your consent, to another controller. As long as it is technically possible, we will transmit your personal data directly to the new controller.

  • The right to restrict processing (art. 18 AVG):

If any of the following apply, you may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data:

  1. you dispute the accuracy of that personal data (in this case, its use is restricted for a period of time that allows us to verify the accuracy of the personal data);

  2. the processing of your personal data is unlawful;

  3. we no longer need your personal data for the original processing purposes, but you need them for the establishment, exercise or support of a legal claim;

  4. until a decision has been made on the exercise of your right to object to processing, you may request that the use of your personal data be restricted.

  • The right to object (art. 21 AVG):

Based on your particular situation, you may object to the processing of your personal data if such processing is in our legitimate interest or in the performance of a task carried out in the public interest. We will cease processing your personal data in this case, unless we can demonstrate compelling and legitimate grounds for the processing which outweigh your interests, or if the processing of the personal data is related to the establishment, exercise or support of a legal claim.

  • The right not to be subjected to automated decision-making (artikel 22 AVG):

You have the right not to be subject to a decision made solely on the basis of automated data processing that significantly affects you or has legal consequences and is made without substantial human intervention. You cannot invoke this right in three situations:

  1. if a law permits it (for example, to prevent tax fraud);

  2. If the decision-making is based on an explicit consent of the data subject; or

  3. if it is necessary for the conclusion, or performance, of an agreement (please note that in doing so, we always make a case-by-case assessment of whether there are less privacy invasive methods to conclude or perform the agreement).

  • The right to withdraw your consent (art. 7 AVG):

Where your personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time upon simple request.

  • Exercising your rights

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact information provided under the heading “Questions?”. In order to verify your identity, we ask you to send a copy of the front of your identity card. In doing so, we ask that you make your national registration number and image on your identity card illegible. In any case, we will only process your identity card data to verify your identity and will neither store nor record it in our systems.

You may exercise all these rights free of charge, unless your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive (for example, due to its repetitive nature). In that case, we have the right to charge you a reasonable fee or refuse to act on your request.
